How to Make Apple Pie Moonshine
Supplies
- Large pot for simmering the cider.
- Canning jars for storing.
- Large bowl with a spout.
Ingredients
- Apple Juice
- Apple Cider
- Granulated Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Cardamom
- Ever Clear
Directions
- Add the apple cider, apple juice, sugars, and all of the spices into a large pot.
- Let this mixture simmer for 1 hour.
- Turn off the heat and let it come to room temperature for another 30 minutes.
- Remove cinnamon sticks and pour the mixture into a large bowl with a spout.
- Add in the Ever Clear and stir.
- Pour the moonshine into glass jars and seal with a lid until ready to serve.
If you want a very pure cider, you can also strain the mixture though cheesecloth to remove all spices.

- 8 cups apple juice
- 8 cups apple cider
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 5 sticks cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg, ground
- 1/4 tsp cardamom
- 3 cups Everclear

Notes
Since everyone has a different standard of how strong a drink is, it’s best to start with less alcohol in a recipe and then slowly add more as you taste. Start with two cups and see what you think!
You can always add more, but can’t take it out once it’s in the cider mixture.
You can also use vodka for this recipe but Everclear is more traditional for moonshine.
