First things first, head to Gill Landing. It's part of The Heartlands, southeast of Flatneck Station, on the north coast of Flat Iron Lake.

Go out onto the dock there and talk to Jeremy Gill to accept his quest - A Fisher of Fish.

He gives you map marking all 13 Legendary Fish. You must catch these fish and deliver them to him to complete this Stranger Quest.

2. Get the Right Bait

As detailed on the How to Fish page, you can buy various types of bait at the Bait Shop in Lagras. However, you'll unlock additional bait after accepting A Fisher of Fish.

To catch Legendary Fish, you need to buy the three different lures.

  • Special Lake Lure
  • Special River Lure
  • Special Swamp Lure

Here are what each of the lures are good for catching in RDR2.

5. Deliver the Fish

Once you've caught a Legendary Fish, store it on your horse and immediately head to the nearest post office. Keeping the catch on your horse, you can mail it to Jeremy Gill. After 24 hours, you'll receive your reward for you fish.

Once you've delivered every fish, you'll finally be able to hunt the Legendary Catfish with Jeremy Gill.
