The Screw is an OEM part for Whirlpool appliances. This specific screw is used in various locations within Whirlpool appliances, securing components and ensuring the stability and proper alignment of parts. It is designed to fit precisely and maintain a firm hold, contributing to the overall functionality and safety of the appliance.
Over time, screws can become worn or stripped due to regular use, corrosion, or over-tightening.
Causes of a bad screw include wear and tear, exposure to moisture leading to rust, and over-tightening which can strip the threads.
Symptoms of a bad screw include:
- Loose or wobbly components
- Misalignment of parts
- Noise due to vibrating or loose parts
- Difficulty in securing or removing the screw
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Burners were interittently non functionalKeith W. • Las Cruces, NM • December 08, 2015
I ordered new elements and connection blocks, ripped out the old ones and installed the new ones. The ordered parts came in quickly and were exactly what I ordered. The most difficult part of the repair was cutting through the little screws that had rusted and corroded over the decades. With old removed, the installation of the new blocks and elements went quickly. One modification was to the support fins on the new heating elements. The element did not seat nicely most likely because the... Read more

I went on line and found several appliance web sites promising to be able to get the parts to fix it.One website actually showed a video of how to fix it. It was a good video which showed everything involved and then easily showed me the parts list of the elements involved and how to fix it. I went further and actually ordered the element at about 1 or 2 AM. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven door seal worn out – jenn air model s125Patricia D. • Raleigh, NC • May 02, 2015
Ordered oven door seal Part Number Y702338 (Whirlpool AP4291897) to replace the oven door seal on 30-year old Jenn-Air model S125 downdraft slide-in range. I called AppliancePartsPros and confirmed the part number, gathered my courage and asked my son-in-law to help. Thanks to another reviewer's suggestion, we placed a piece of wood about 3/4-inch thick between each of the door hinges and the frame of the oven before removing the door (to hold the hinges open and make it easy to put the door... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Stove downdraft stopped workingRobert B. • Gaithersburg, MD • March 08, 2016
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more
