Scotland, along with the rest of the UK, has experienced a prolonged period of high pressure recently, which has brought with it beautiful sunny skies and dry weather. However, that is all set to change this weekend.
Low pressure returns, bringing more cloud, rain and showers and "an end to wall-to-wall sunshine". While temperatures remain high on Saturday, things are predicted to take a dip on Sunday - especially in Scotland.
The Met Office has warned "unsettled" weather is around the corner, with as much as 20-25mm of rain due to thrash some parts of the country.
Brits are set to endure a mega storm that'll bring nine days' worth of rain in just three hours to parts of the UK, forecasters are warning.
The warning comes as the Met Office predicts "hail and thunder" making an unwelcome comeback in late April, with downpours "likely to be heavy at times."

In Scotland, the downpours looks more prominent on April 22 and 23, with WXCharts, which uses MetDesk, showing a band of rain covering the southwest and the east, in and around Edinburgh, from Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Intense deluges are set to soak Wales from Newport to Colwyn Bay on the afternoon of April 24, with weather service Ventusky predicting up to 22mm descending in mere hours - a volume normally spread over nine days.
Among the cities in the firing line of this torrential outpour are Cardiff and Newtown, alongside swathes of land stretching between Conwy and Newport, expected to suffer the brunt with 15-22mm of rainfall.
Birmingham, Northampton, Leicester, and Bristol appear in line to receive approximately 6–8mm of precipitation on April 24, with regions between Torquay and Exeter poised for around 14mm of rain over a brief interval.
Indeed, the Met Office's long-range prediction from Wednesday, April 16 to Friday, April 25 suggests a dramatic shift in weather patterns.
The statement reads: "Much more mixed weather conditions than of late, with low pressure systems and their associated areas of rain and showers often affecting the UK.
"The rain is likely to be heavy at times, and the showers, most frequently affecting western areas, will also be heavy and blustery in places, with isolated small hail and thunder.
"There will also be some brighter, drier spells in between rain and showers, although probably large amounts of cloud too, with limited sunshine.
"Unsettled, wet, and occasionally windy conditions are most likely during the first few days of this period.
"Beyond this, and certainly into the following week, there is an increasing chance that cooler, northerly winds could develop, followed by a less unsettled spell. Temperatures mostly around average for the time of year."

The national forecaster also warned of even worse weather to come, with some snow expected later next week.
Earlier this week, the Met Office said: "There is a chance of some wintry showers over high ground in Scotland, which is relatively common, even in April.

"Exact details and timings on any snowfall, or even the extent of it, aren’t available until closer to the time. Any snow which does fall is unlikely to settle other than on the higher peaks across Scotland."
