What is a Breakfast Shot made out of?

A breakfast shot is made up of Irish Whiskey (we use Jameson Irish whiskey), butterscotch schnapps, fresh squeezed orange juice, and a splash of maple syrup. This breakfast shot is topped with candied maple bacon syrup for a garnish. This shot can be made with pulp free orange juice if you do not want any pulp floating around. Otherwise you can squeeze fresh orange juice and double strain the juice before measuring and pouring it into the co*cktail shaker.

What does an Irish Breakfast shot taste like?

The Irish Breakfast Shot is a sweet and smooth shot with a hint of whiskey. The shot has notes of butterscotch with tangy and sweet fresh orange juice. We like to finish the shot with a splash of maple syrup. This shot is great to pair with a fun brunch or to compliment a morning breakfast for a group. The Irish breakfast shot tastes like breakfast in a glass. All the flavors of a delicious sweet breakfast are in this delectable shot.

This is our first breakfast shot. We ate it with two ingredient bagels and cream cheese. Yummy and actually quite a fun sustaining way to enjoy a late breakfast.

Try this shot with any hearty breakfast. It’s great with Yogurt pancakes, Biscuits and sausage gravy, and our sourdough waffles.

What’s in an Irish Breakfast?

Add our hearty breakfast Irish whiskey shot and our Jameson Green Tea Shot to your St Patrick’s Day Brunch menu. What a fun way to Theme a brunch party.

The basic components of an Irish Breakfast:

” – sausages, bacon, eggs, baked beans, black pudding and white pudding. The latter – along with the occasional potatoes” According to The Experts’ guide to the Best Places to enjoy An Irish Breakfast in Dublin.

Here’s a recipe for white pudding if you want to have a go at it. Black pudding looks impractical to make.

Here’s a link to buy both the black and white Irish puddings.

My husband is all about it. He ready for a full Irish breakfast anytime.

With pancakes on the side of course. 🙂

The Breakfast Shot Recipe:

This shot turned out so well largely because the whiskey and butterscotch liqueur blended perfectly.

I’ll be looking to create more butterscotch schnapps drinks. You know I love sweet drinks. Butterscotch candy has always been one of my personal favorites. Stay tuned. 🙂

TIP: Make the candied bacon ahead and set aside until needed. You can reheat the bacon in your microwave at serving if you want it warm.
