How to watch the 2024 Masters (2024)

When the calendar turns to April, one thought joyfully comes to mind for anyone who calls themselves a golf fan: the Masters. It’s a rite of spring that leaves those who follow the sport spellbound for the return of Augusta National’s unblemished green fairways, pristine pink azaleas and flawless white bunkers, all while waiting for the first-tee starter to utter the four most underrated words in golf: “Fore, please. Now driving …”

If this sounds like you, well, you’re in luck. The 2024 Masters is upon us, and you don’t have to be a ticket-holding patron to enjoy a front-row seat to all the action.

The simplest way to satisfy your Masters cravings is the traditional TV broadcast scheduled for ESPN (in its 17th year showing early-round action) and CBS (clicking off its 69th straight year airing the closing coverage). Mind you, that’s only going to occupy 18 hours of your time.

For those hoping to soak in even more coverage, there are several alternatives to watch this year’s tournament, including the Masters revolutionary “Every Shot, Every Hole” technology that allows viewers to see, well, everything. Also returning this year is the use of IBM Watson to provide text and audio AI commentary for all 20,000-plus shots shown during the tournament (this year in English and Spanish).

Masters.com and ESPN+ also offer two additional “featured holes” channels: one from Amen Corner (11th, 12th and 13th holes) and one for the 15th and 16th holes. In addition there is a separate channel for spotlight coverage of two featured groups from the morning and afternoon waves each day. And this year, Masters.com introduces a Video Vault that offers every final round broadcast from 1968 to 2023 as well as the official Masters film from 2010, original productions and more.

Prior to the start of its TV broadcasts on Thursday and Friday, ESPN will once again broadcast a two-hour lead in program, “Welcome to the Masters.”

And you don’t have to wait until Thursday’s first round to get a golf fix. The Par-3 Contest is once again set for Wednesday with coverage on Masters.com and ESPN+ from 12 noon to 5 p.m. and on ESPN from 3-5 p.m.

Got all that straight? Don't worry, we've got it all spelled out below to make things easy to enjoy the 2024 Masters.
