1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried onion
1 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon chili flakes
1 roasting chicken
Olive oil
What To Do
In a bowl add all the spices together
Mix.
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken – rub the oil on the chicken – make sure the whole chicken has a light coat of oil

Cook on high for 4 -5 hours – I highly suggest using a meat thermometer to tell that it is done.
Enjoy
I had to take the final picture shot in the crock pot BECAUSE the chicken was falling off the bones.

Thank you so much for sharing. Although I have not tried it, I will be very soon. It looks so good!!

I just finished the chicken part of this recipe and I’m now working on the broth part of it!!! If the broth’s as fabulous tasting as the chicken, then I’m officially throwing out my old recipe in lieu of this one!!!!! I’ve never had a chicken so tender that when I poked it with a wooden spoon, it fell into 4 pieces. Thanks Budget Savvy Diva!!!

I am trying this tonight! Can’t wait!

I made this tonight for the first time and it was really good. Mine was done in about 2 1/2 hours on HIGH setting, 180 degrees on a meat thermometer. This is the only way I will roast a whole chicken from now on, besides it doesn’t heat up the house or make a big mess in my oven, YAY!!

Been trying to find different chicken recipes since I have a freezer full of whole birds… So off to Pinterest I went. I tried a bunch and out of all of them all my family loved this one the most. It’s amazingly tender… Good flavor. I’ll be adding it to the recipes I’m handing the daughter in laws. Nice and easy and yummy too. Cheers

This looks so tasty!

Is it necessary to cook it on high? I would prefer to cook over low so I can put it on in the morning and have it ready for an early dinner.
Yvonne
Can the bird be frosen?
Ashley
This may sound silly but do you put any liquid in the crock pot with it or do you just use the ingredients listed?

I made this tonight and followed directions exactly, though I did season underneath the breasts as well. Chicken cooked for 5 hrs on high in my 4 quart slow cooker. It came out perfect! Very moist. Will definitely be making again.
