Sambi Lokonga Arsenal exit latest

Sevilla look set to sign Albert Sambi Lokonga from Arsenal this summer.

Talks got underway last week with the Gunners keen to agree a permanent transfer while Sevilla wanted a loan deal that included a buy-option. With Lokonga now giving the full green light, the details of those negotiations appear to have been revealed.

According to Jose Manuel Rodriguez, it will be a loan from Arsenal to Sevilla with just the option to make the move permanent as opposed to the obligation as the Gunners wanted.

Man United make Gomes transfer decision

Manchester United are tracking Arsenal transfer target Joao Gomes, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

"He’s one of many players being scouted, but not just by Manchester United," he told GIVEMESPORT. "Many clubs have been scouting and following him, so let’s see who is going to really present a proposal or try to open negotiations with Wolves. At the moment, there is still nothing imminent."

Guehi transfer update with Arsenal domino effect

Real Madrid have joined Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.

The central defender has significantly impressed for England at Euro 2024 with Los Blancos clearly admirers of his displays in Germany.

While the Gunners won't want to lose the battle for Guehi to Madrid, if he does sign for the European champions, their chances of also pushing for William Saliba as well.

Arteta contract talks

An update has been provided on Mikel Arteta's ongoing Arsenal contract extension talks.

Speaking on his Here We Go podcast, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said: “Contacts continue between Arsenal & the agents of Mikel Arteta to extend his contract. Talks ongoing, talks going very well — Arteta wants to stay & wants to continue, Arsenal are super excited about this project with Arteta.”

Despite just one year remaining on his contract there appears to be no panic with other reports suggesting he is line for a significant pay increase which will take him closer to the £20million per-season earnt by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Kimmich to Arsenal transfer hint

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich continues to be linked with a potential summer transfer.

Arsenal have been mooted as one possible destination with the latest update hinting the 29-year-old will arrive in the Premier League if he leaves Germany.

“Joshua Kimmich could be on the move,” Fabrizio Romano revealed. “After the Euros, there is a possibility that he will leave Bayern. His contract expires next summer. Keep an eye on the Premier League. In the next weeks, something could happen.”

Jack Grealish transfer chance

Arsenal may have been handed the perfect chance to strike a sensational deal with Manchester City to bring Jack Grealish to Emirates Stadium.

Competition for places at City is already competitive and Grealish could fall even further down the pecking order next season with the arrival of Savio. The 20-year-old is expected to complete a move to City from fellow City Football Group side Troyes in the coming weeks.

Arsenal lose wonderkid transfer race

Arsenal have seen their move Chelsea wonderkid Ryan McAidoo hijacked by Manchester City.

The 16-year-old looked set to join the Gunners, having been the favourites to obtain his signature for the last few months, however Man City have intercepted that move and he is not set for a move to Etihad Stadium, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Calafiori transfer latest

Arsenal are continuing to be linked with a transfer for Riccardo Calafiori of Bologna.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked though it seems to be the latter leading the race alongside Arsenal.

Juventus appeared as his most likely destination however Bologna would much prefer him to move abroad and are anticipating big offers from the Premier League.

£21m agreement reached for Arsenal transfer target

Kicking off with some big news that emerged last night in Italy which has seen Arsenal transfer target Khephren Thuram have his next club revealed.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder is set to leave Nice and sign for Juventus in a €25million (£21.1m) package deal. Fellow Premier Leagues clubs Manchester United and Newcastle had also shown a firm interest in the 23-year-old.

The Gunners were linked to Thuram earlier this year but Arteta will seemingly have to look elsewhere for midfield depth

Williams to unsettle the squad?

Well, Charles Watts suggests it could be the case...

Williams is a talent, but he is still young and relatively inexperienced.

For Arsenal to immediately make him one of the highest earners would be a risk, because it could unsettle the squad a bit, especially if he were to come in and suddenly be earning more than some of the experienced players who have been at the club for a while.

So all that sort of thing has to be taken into account when it comes to potential deals.

Arsenal to leave striker transfer late?

Fabrizio Romano has hinted at this being the case.

“For Viktor Gyökeres, Sporting still want the release clause, they want a package of €100m (£85m).

“This is an expensive deal & this is why Arsenal have shown interest in recent months, but at the moment, are still not advancing.

“We know that sometimes, in the market, the price can change. In June, you have a price & then in July, in August, it can change.”

Sancho rejection

Arsenal have turned down the chance to sign Jadon Sancho this summer.

It is said in Italy that United have been offering the player out as they look to cut ties and get a fee in return for his services.

Chelsea allegedly came to the same decision last month as well.

Osimhen explanation

Arsenal are said to prefer a deal with Gyokeres to that of Osimhen.

Reports in Italy suggest that with both players expecting to cost over £85million, the lower wages for Gyokeres has made him a more likely option at this stage.

Chelsea and Manchester United are still in the conversation as well for Osimhen. and PSG can't be written off.

Zirkzee boost

It is claimed in Italy that United could turn their attentions to Romelu Lukaku if Zirkzee doesn't move to Old Trafford.

Just imagine.

Anyway, back to the 'normal' transfer news for a bit.

Hamill battle

St Johnstone defender Callan Hamill, who is training at Arsenal, is said to have impressed both Celtic and Rangers.

The two Scottish sides are looking at signing the player despite him being primed to move to England when he turns 16.

Lokonga exit

The end is near for Albert Sambi Lokonga.

It is said that Sevilla have now reached an agreement to sign the player this summer.

Lokonga would be heading out on loan yet again having impressed at Luton last season.

The Belgian is not part of Mikel Arteta's plans currently and is expected by football.london to leave.

Ramsdale reality

Tom Canton writes:

Arsenal appear to be open to Ramsdale departing and are interested in Espanyol’s Joan Garcia football.london understands. The 23-year-old Spaniard would join David Raya whose permanent move is expected to be completed in the near future.

However, the move for Garcia would only happen should Ramsdale leave and so far that reality has struggled to emerge. There had been suggestions that Newcastle United were keen on the player however Arsenal’s expectations on the England international’s price have seen Eddie Howe’s side target Burnley’s James Trafford instead.

There have been varying claims surrounding the asking price from £30million all the way to £50million. Arsenal are keen to make a profit on the player signed for an initial £24million back in 2021 and having seen him sign an extension last summer, the club have plenty of control when it comes to dictating the price.

William Saliba impact

The Arsenal centre-back has impressed in his first major competition for France after fighting his way into Didier Descamps' starting XI.

His France side will face Portugal in the quarter-final of the competition.

Nico Willaims preference

Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their hopes of signing Nico Williams this summer with Barcelona targeting the winger.

Williams is said to be keen on a move to the Spanish giants, and prefers a move to barca and is willing to wait for the 'path to be clear'.

Arsenal contingency plan

Arsenal are showing an interest in goalkeeper Joan Garcia, as an option if they sell Aaron Ramsdale this summer.

The Athletic report that Arsenal could move for the Esapanyol goalkeeper if Ramsdale leaves over the next few weeks. Garcia has a €25 million (£21.2m) release clause in his contract.

Riccardo Calafiori bid 'expected'

Arsenal, along with Chelsea, are expected to bid for Italy star Riccardo Calafiori, according to TEAMTalk.

The reports says that Arsenal are 'expected' to make an opening bid for the defender in 'the near future' but they will be joined by Chelsea who will make a rival bid.

Ozil transformation

Former Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has celebrated the anniversary since he started his remarkable transformation. The Germany international made 254 appearances across eight seasons for the Gunners before he departed the club in 2021 and retired from professional football two years later.

His last outing came during a brief spell with Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir, where he made seven appearances during an injury-hit stint, as he officially hung up his boots in March 2023. Since then, he has been on an eye-catching body transformation as he swapped football drills for dumbbells.

On Instagram, the 35-year-old celebrated one year since embarking on his transition into weight-lifting, posting: "1 Year Very Hard WORK," as he posed with his orange jumper held up displaying his abs.

Arsenal scouting Kadioglu

Arsenal are set to send scouts to watch Turkey left-back Ferdi Kadioglu in action during their Euro 2024 clash against Austria tonight.

According to Fotomac, the Gunners will be one of several clubs watching Kadioglu in action against Austria. £26million-rated Kadioglu has impressed at Euro 2024 thus far.

Jorginho recommendation

Jorginho has privately recommended to Mikel Arteta that Arsenal should sign Italy team-mate Riccardo Calafiori this summer, according to Football Transfers.

It's claimed that Jorginho has told Arteta to sign the £40million-rated defender, who shone for Bologna as they booked their place in the Champions League next season.

Zirkzee set to leave Bologna

Bologna director Giovanni Sartori has conceded that Joshua Zirkzee will leave the club this summer amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United among others.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Dutchman, who has a £34million release clause in his contract. Zirkzee scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for Bologna last season.

"He has a clause, so he will 99 per cent leave," Sartori acknowledged. Arsenal are on the lookout for a new centre forward this summer and Zirkzee is among those said to be under consideration.

O'Neill close

Arsenal are set to complete the signing of their second summer addition with Ceadach O’Neill to sign as a new Under-18s player from Linfield. The attacking midfielder will join Jack Wilshere’s group after his Gaelic Football Club Kildrea confirmed the news on social media.

They also confirmed that it will be a three-year deal that he will sign although this will likely be when he signs a professional contract as he turns 17 next April. O'Neill joins Danish youth keeper Lucas Nygaard with the group as the club's second summer addition.

Slovakia boss hits back at Rice

Following England's 2-1 win against Slovakia, Declan Rice and the Slovakia manager clashed. Speaking to reporters after the game, Francesco Calzona addressed the incident.

As quoted by The Sun, the Slovakia boss said: "Rice was supposed to go to the referees and leave. I had to speak to the refs and he wasn’t leaving, he carried on.

"But then he apologised and it was all fine. I didn’t like the way the England team were wasting time was not punished."

Calafiori update

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal and Chelsea remain interested in Riccardo Calafiori. The 22-year-old defender has been heavily linked with an exit from Bologna this summer after carrying his great vein of form into Euro 2024 for Italy.
