1. Apply witch hazel

Use witch hazel to remove any products from your skin. This takes away any oils so that your adhesive sticks.

Apply this around your eyebrows and forehead.

Brushing brows with glue

2. Brush your brows with glue

The easiest way to stick down your brows is to use Elmer’s glue stick. I prefer to apply this to the brows using a tepe, or a dental flossing stick.

Apply the glue to the tiny bristle, and brush your hairs downward first.

Go against the grain to coat the back of the hairs, so they stick when you brush them up.

If you want to completely disguise the brows, you’ll want to apply it in a couple of layers.

Let it dry.

Applying adhesive

3. Apply the adhesive where you want your vinyl bald cap

One option for a full forehead piece is to apply a full vinyl bald cap.

Instead of blending the edges away at the hairline, blend the edges away on your eyelids.

If you don’t want to tackle a full cap, apply the vinyl material just below your eyebrows like I’m doing. This way you get less tension on the eyelids.

Trimming edging

5. Trim the edging

If you have an extra set of hands, have them trim the edging.

Melting excess cap

6. Melt the excess cap

Use a cotton bud and acetone to melt away the rest of the cap.

If you don’t want the forehead cap, you can use this method just to cover the eyebrows.

Applying orange to brows

7. Apply an orange shade to neutralize the eyebrows

Since Ahsoka’s skin tone is lighter than the color of our brow hair, we need to disguise the darkness.

Use a cool orange shade to neutralize the darkness of your brows. Diffuse the edges ever so slightly with the brush.

Setting brows

8. Set

Set the orange in place with a translucent powder so it doesn’t move. Use a powder puff to press it over top of the cream.

This will also set the adhesive you applied around the edging of the eyebrows.

Applying concealer to brows

9. Apply concealer to the brows

With a clean powder puff, apply a full-coverage concealer over the orange shade. You’ll see it becoming more invisible.

Face paint

10. Apply a base with face paint

For the base, I’m using face and body paints which are incredibly durable and affordable.

I mixed two colors to get the right shade for Ahsoka that didn’t look too orange.

Applying face paint

Apply the paint completely over your face.

You can use a brush, but I’m using an airbrush since it gives me a flawless, quick, and even finish.

Lining eyes

11. Apply black eyeliner around your eyes

Apply a black pencil along your top lid, close to the root of the eyelashes.

Use a small brush to soften the seam. You can also use your finger.

Lining eyes

Apply the same pencil to the waterline and below your lower lashes.

Make sure there are no pink flesh tones visible.

Applying mascara

12. Apply mascara

Make sure you use a good mascara that won’t flake down your face, because it will be visible on the orange tone you have for skin.

I used a tubing mascara.

Hollowing cheeks

13. Hollow out the cheeks

Use a medium-toned sculpting powder with an angled brush and lightly brush through the hollows of your cheeks.

Creating Ahsoka’s makeup

15. Draw on Ahsoka’s makeup

Take a small craft brush and white face paint to paint the shape of Ahsoka’s makeup.

Map out the shape first, then use a smaller brush to fill it in. You’ll want to apply a couple of layers to make the white as opaque as possible.

If you’re not confident doing this, use a soft pencil in a similar shade to the skin tone so they won’t be as visible if you do make mistakes.

Creating Ahsoka’s makeup

As I applied the makeup on the cheeks, I used a few dots to get the proportions right before I started to paint in the actual shape.

Applying lipstick

16. Apply lipstick

Apply lipstick. Ahsoka has a lot more volume to her lips naturally, so you can overline them if you want.
